  Scizor - # 212
ハッサム, Hassam) The Pincer Pokemon

Scizor is, in my opinion, the most beautiful and striking pokemon of them all.
Vibrant in color combinations, sharp angles, brilliant design and very unique attributes.
I fell in love with Scizor through writing a story with a Scizor as one of the main characters.
It just over all wreaks of badassery. <3

Scizor was the first pokemon I decided to seriously collect, besides the Ghost type group. I don't plan on mongering all the Scizor merchandise out there (even if it is limited) but I just can't help myself ;p. My biggest aspiration is to one day have a Scizor plush, though one was never officially created (so far).

-Figures-

Picture
       Bandai Clipping Figure
This figure was the first of my collection, and the first of my "Grail" items. I did a search for Scizor  figures, and            out of all of them, this looked the awesomest, hands down. I knew I had to get it. *_* When it finally arrived, I
could't stop taking pictures of it on my windowsill - its wings are a blue-ish translucent color, and the sun really
highlighted the effect. It is small, but gloriously detailed and its pose is just BAM.
The jewel of my Scizor collection, I love it to pieces.
The figure was included with its own box, mini card and a piece of Ramune candy (a type of Japanese hard candy).

Picture
 Tomy Figure
This figure is surprisingly larger then my other Tomy figures, which was a pleasant surprise!
Little guy still has some "battle wounds", a wonderful figure with large wings and eyes. He
has a deeper red color then the clipping figure, which I find interesting. :3

Picture
Kids Figure
Someone had a bad day! This Kid seems to have an eternal bad attitude, which adds to its charm.
Something about this figure seems different then the other Kids I have - it seems somewhat older, and its sculpt is very detailed for its figure line.
I love this little guy, I've been lusting over this figure for ages until I finally found one!

Picture
Keshipoke
This is officially the smallest figure I own - my jaw dropped when I held it for the first time. So leeetle and extremely detailed, not to mention vibrant! I was very impressed.
I have a thing for miniatures, and this figure has further fueled my fascination...I must have more. o_o
Keshipoke are tiny little figures sold in rubbery eraser Pokeballs (although mine just came as is). Some pokemon have more Keshipoke forms then others - I believe this is the updated version of an older Scizor.

Picture
Retsuden Stamp
Technically, this is not a figure, but since it is a first of its kind in the collection, it will stay here for now.
Blazingly pink and a bit darker in color then this picture shows, this stamp portrays Scizor in his famous stance...and the number? Hm, I honestly don't know what it means. It reads 333.
It dosn't come with an ink pad, but just the rubber stamp, which is very detailed and well made. There is something satisfying about these stamps, maybe  its the fact that they are starkly different then most items.
I can't wait to find some ink to make some Scizor stamps! :D

-Flats-

Picture
      Armada Sticker
WHOOOSH- this sticker came as a nifty freebie with my clipping figure. I was so geeked to see Scizor flyin. And its fortold that Scizors don't fly. B)
I originally had this sticker taped to my dresser. I tried to take the tape off to take this picture and a little bit of his wing ripped off. D: I was able to tape it back on, but lesson learned.

Japanese Notepad Page
I love this. Scizors pose on this is different and very appealing to me for some reason. This flat looks like a piece of real artwork, with bold colors and lines and great background effects that go nicely. Hassam is Scizors Japanese name.
On the back of this piece of paper are some lines for writing, along with a picture of Lugia.
One of these days I am going to laminate it.

Picture
Bandai Clipping Figure Card
Another fantastical item that came with my Clipping figure. Here, Scizor is depicted looking curiously at you from a deep forest bog. This card is smaller then average, taking after the Clipping figure, but very detailed and glossy. I only wish I could read it. :<

Picture
Scizor Settei
Settei are reference sheets for animators, photocopies of the original artwork. Settei are special because they give in-depth views of the pokemon, often showing poses and angles not commonly seen. Usually only hardcore collectors have Settei.
Amazing for artists who love to draw their favorite Pokemon!
A month ago I didn't even know a Scizor Settei existed, and I told myself I would only buy a Settei if it was a Scizor one. Then it was only wishful thinking.
Then all of a sudden ASDFLKJSSCIZORSETTEI.
I went on quite an escapade finding a frame for this to keep it nice and found one at a craft store. I adore this. ;;

That eye. It can see into your soul.

Reverse Holo
Through random Google searches, I realized that Scizor had some amazing Trading Cards. Thus, I started collecting them, and this was the first one! (I have a crap load of other Pokemon cards, but these are the only ones I will be displaying in a collection.)
When I purchased this card, I honestly didn't know it was a Reverse Holographic (everything but the picture is shiny). You can imagine my surprise when I received it. Many pictures showing off its shiny-ness where taken. x)
This card is different because the Scizor has a 3D style. It looks great and adds to the cards over all BAMFness.

Sexy Holographic
THIS. THIS RIGHT HERE.
I discovered this card through one of my previously mentioned Google searches. I passed over this card many times, not quite making out what the image was because of small thumbails. But when I finally did, HOLY GUACAMOLE. Absolutely stunning. My mouth fell open. The artwork is just magnificent, truly depicting the real spirit of Scizor and the most beautiful TC I had ever seen. I had to have it.
So I began searching for Scizor cards, hoping this one would pop up. And it did, but in the most unlikey place...I had actually seen it before, but the light in the image highlighted its holographic shiny parts, so I couldn't tell what the heck it was. And when I did....my brain ceased to function for a second.

It now resides with its other Trading Card brethern, another special addition to the collection.

Picture
Reverse Holographic
With Scizor cards, you can't go wrong - every single one shows a different pose and has its own personality. This particular one is, green showing how it belongs to the Bug type. I honestly don't know why, either, as the other ones are gray, meaning it belongs to the Steel type group. I don't recognize the Gym Leader on it either, but it doesn't matter. :3
Once again, another beautiful card.

-Customs-

Picture
Whiteboard Drawing
"Customs" is a term used for custom artwork. This was my first one, drawn for me by my boyfriend. Its adorable, even if its missing its arms and lower abdomen. <3
I'm going to try to keep this on my whiteboard forever. ;;

Picture
Paper Cutout Commission
A beautiful, unique commission (and my first!) from 0mastar.
Another fine example of Scizor flying. I love the pose - it is very detailed. The lines are so small and fine, it boggles my mind there is a pen that small. The camera flash kinda drained out how black the lines are. B(

Picture
Valentines Day Card
This means a lot to me. My boyfriend drew this for me on a handmade card for Valentines Day. It really surprised me - one, being that he had the patience to draw this and two, how much effort he put into it. I didn't expect it at all, and it holds a very special place in my heart. <3 So proud.
It was outlined with pen and colored with crayons (the flash washed out most of crayon coloring).
Best present ever.
